Complaint about my co-worker...

As a "senior worker" I feel that I lead by example because I do not ask my co-workers if it is okay if I leave early from work and let them "cover" my *ss so I can still get paid for leaving early and not let the boss know or pretend that it is all cool with my co-worker and tell the boss it is okay.

I don't just talk it over with my co-worker to "see if it is okay" with them if I leave work early. I talk to my boss first, then, either I just tell my co-worker it has been okayed with the boss or the boss does it themself, but either way, I do not ask for permission from a co-worker to leave early.

About leaving early from work, I don't like to do it myself unless I have an absolute valid reason. I don't like EXCUSES, not something as lame as - I have some person business to take care of or it would be easier on me if I left early to take care of some stuff because of such and such reasons. To me, it is all BULLSH*T!!!

I hate it when the people I work with decide that they are going to leave early and then just do their so-called "share" of the work when we are supposed to take turns to avoid repetitive motion injury and then leave early leaving me holding the bag. And sometimes, they don't even "do their share" and just leave me to take care of the rest by myself.

I really don't like it. I just keep telling them, as long as you talk it over with the boss first and they okay it, then it is okay with me. I think it is absolutely uinfair of them to do it the other way around because it is manipulative and this is second time they have done it to me and I am pretty sure that they did not report the first time they did it to me to our boss or did they remove the time from their timecard, which I feel is dishonest, but I don't say anything.

To me, even if they say they are going to have it taken off their timecard, I'll never know if they did or not and they are still technically supposed to be there the full time and I feel they should still be there the whole time. I feel like I am being taken advantage of and really, it pisses me off to no end.

I feel that if my co-worker is going to leave early, they should arrange it ahead of time with the boss, because apparently it is not some BIG emergency and they knew about it beforehand and are just trying to get out of working and still get paid for them not being there.

To me, they should not be figuring out their missing work on the day of the "leaving early" with some lame excuse and ask me if it is "okay" with me, because to be honest, if you claim to be my friend, you are taking advantage of me, and if you think you know me like you say you do, then you know in your heart that it is NOT okay with me.

I think it is selfish of them and I think it is inconsiderate of them to do so. I am finding out that I do not like working with this person the more I work with them. A lot of stuff about them seems a little shallow and a bit hypocritical. All I can say is practice what you preach!
